AWAKENERS!!
Let me just begin by saying you are all truly amazing! Thank you so much for all your prayer and support and encouragement, both individually and with the hub.
I wanted to let you know where things stand with AWAKEN at the hub right now because I know it's hard to stay in "the loop" with so much going on in your lives.
There is still a lot of work to be done and I still covet your prayers in the next few months. God has been blessing me as I try to figure out how to event plan and network and "communicate" :) So much has been learned.
You all should know the dates by now, September 19 through about the 29th are the gathering dates (or whatever ones you can make it for sbsers) We are still working on speaking venues in churches and schools during that week but also want to leave it wide open to the holy spirit's movement, also leaving time for fellowship, so it already looks like it will be full!
God brought me into contact with a ministry called Confluence in Denver. They seek to network churches and ministries together and have been a complete blessing. It's possible to use their building for the main evening venue on the night of the 26th. We are also looking into a local pizza, music, and art venue to have the main evening, either one will be great.
We are flying Marc Scibilia and hopefully his band in to play, and if Braddigan can't make it we will have a local artist possibly open. The videos will be shown and many of you will be speaking that night as well. We want to provide opportunity to those who show up and so I have been working with as many organizations in Denver that are actively serving in ministry that I can find, and they will show up that evening to plug in with all the people who show up, not only providing a community but an opportunity to serve.
The night before the "big" night (sept 25) we will be meeting downtown at a local coffee shop to hang out with and talk to anyone from the week who wants to hang and or get prayer/encouragement.
Andrew is still editing videos for the evening and has flame sledding done as we speak but he is busy speaking in DTS's and youth outreaches and camps as well, so he needs lots of prayer too. The web is beginning to come together as well which is very exciting, you can go see the preview page at www.thewindowroom.com/awaken/
As far as housing and logistics for the week, things are starting to come together and confluence found us a great place to stay with a commercial kitchen and showers, who exist for ministries like ourselves and it's not to far from downtown Denver!
Lots of decisions still need to be made and next month I will probably start doing some promotion and flyers etc... Things are so close to being locked in and yet the final adjustments just don't seem to go through. Please direct your prayers to the finalization of projects that are at hand, and that the final push needed would happen with ease.
Love you all and can't wait!
Blessings,
Daylene
